American flags are not to be written on
I lost all respect for 5FDP when they pulled a sharpie out and wrote on an American flag is if their signature was worth more than the lives lost defending the flag. They disrespected the moms, dads, sons, daughters, etc who were brought off a plane with one of those draped over their casket. Flag etiquette specifically states writing on the flag is a no go. Even though they allegedly respect the military and work with the USO it appears that’s for clout and to gain fans. If they clearly respected the men and women in uniform they’d never touch the flag in that manner. I wish I had the money back I wasted to see them pull this stunt. It was an expensive lesson learned. Thankfully Brantley Gilbert and Cory marks were amazing so the concert wasn’t a complete waste for us. But the show should have stopped once Brantley was done. We bought tickets specifically for 5FDP but after three foreign tours my husband walked out of the Rupp right after their blatant disrespect.
